God Sightings

1. My church had a service to tell the town about a mission trip the youth group went on. (Yes, I'm planning on doing a post about that.) It was amazing!

2. Jewel-weed: it's amazing how God designed it!

3. Seeing my mom reunite with some college buddies:)

4. One last sleepover before school starts for everyone…love you girls:)

5. A bright cardinal I saw when I went outside for a walk

Wow, I really need to start writing down some God sightings during the week…

Sorry this one's so short!

Art!

A few months ago, I got kinda into art. I mean, I'd always liked sketching and was pretty good at it (at least, I thought I was…) but I got into actual drawing and using my imagination.

I think it started when my 4-H club did a Middle Earth-themed drawing class. During the first session, I drew the first thing I'd actually ever been really proud of.

Anyway, it's an Elven princess. She turned out looking a bit like Arwen but I didn't mind. And yeah, I was really proud of it:)

I started drawing Strider(Aragorn), but never finished...

Another Elf that probably wouldn't be smiling, but whatever. This one isn't the best, I know.

I drew this one camping:) I got to thinking, what if the Leprechaun was a guardian (from Rise of the Guardians) and if she was a girl, so this happened. Again, not very proud of it, but oh well. (I can't draw feet for the life of me. Can you tell?)

Ranger's Apprentice. It's supposed to be Halt's hand. With his Oakleaf. I was pretty proud of this one.

And then, what I've been leading up to...........
I'm probably the most proud of this one. Yes, it's a Hobbit:) For some odd reason, I have trouble drawing people, but not Elves and Hobbits...
Yeah. I'm weird that way.

Anyway, I hope you've enjoyed seeing a bit of my artwork:)

Thanks for reading!

God Sightings

So this is pretty much where I share the ways I've seen God in ordinary things this week:)

1. Bowling with besties:)

2. The smell of summer air

3. A few flowers still blooming in our yard

4. Church picnic yesterday!

5. A little girl in church today who loves to sing...and talk! She entertains the whole congregation:)

6. Walks around our neighborhood my myself

7. Crickets chirping in time to my iPod

So those are the ones I can think of now… I'm sure there are more! I love being able to find God in completely odd moments where maybe others wouldn't find him.

And also, I've been reevaluating what I want this blog to be. I want it to be an inspiration, yes. But I also want it to be a fun, completely random place where you can come, look, and maybe have a laugh:) I want to tell stories, make fandom references, and just enjoy writing. So as I try to figure out what exactly this is going to turn into, please bear with me! Thanks so much!

Song On My Heart-- He Knows My Name, Francesca Battistelli

(I realized that my post yesterday kinda turned into a scrapbook of my previous shows, sorry!)

So lately, the song 'He Knows My Name' by Francesca Battistelli has been in my head. (listen to it here)

The lyrics for the chorus seem to fit me:

I don't need my name in lights
I'm famous in my Father's eyes
Make no mistake
He knows my name
I'm not living for applause
I'm already so adored
It's all His stage
He knows my name oh, oh,
He knows my name oh, oh

I'll admit it, I love the stage. Acting, singing or dancing, I adore it. And I also want to be famous. But who doesn't?

We are born with the desire to be loved. To be known. To be important to someone. And God gives that to us.

We might not always feel it. But it's there.

And for me, it's important to keep my priorities sorted out.

I don't need my name in lights
I'm famous in my Father's eyes

I don't need to be famous to the world to be loved.

I'm not living for applause
I'm already so adored

I don't need to have an audience full of fans to feel adored and important.

Because HE knows my name.

God, the creator of all things, the most important being in the whole universe, knows MY name.

I've struggled with that before.

How can you know me, God? I am so tiny compared to the rest of the world. How is someone like ME important to YOU?

And I've found the answer.

He knew us before we were born. Psalm 139:15-16 says:
15 My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place,
when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.

Before we came into the world, before we took that first gulp of air, God knew us. He watched over us. Loved us.

He knows what will happen to us before it does.
'All the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.'

And I love that. God loves me. Knows me. Created me.

And I am famous to Him.

I don't need my name in lights
I'm famous in my Father's eyes
Make no mistake
He knows my name
I'm not living for applause
I'm already so adored
It's all His stage
He knows my name oh, oh,
He knows my name oh, oh

He calls me chosen, free forgiven, wanted, child of the King,
His forever, held in treasure...
I am loved

Thank You Lord.

(Just a note, I finished The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn yesterday!!)

(Oh, and also, there will probably be the occasional completely random post that has nothing to do with my faith or fandoms. Just a warning.:))

Introduction: Me!

Well, I should probably tell you a bit about myself.

The name's Molloy. Emma Molloy.
(Okay, that sounded a little weird. No, I'm not James Bond)

Anyway, I live in NH. I am homeschooled (AND PROUD OF IT)

I love reading. Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Percy Jackson, and Ranger's Apprentice are among my favorites. I currently have 14 pages left in The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.

Music is one of my passions. Singing, mostly. I like to listen to Air1, Disney music, film scores/instrumentals, and classic rock. :)

I started dancing last summer, taking modern. This summer I added on ballet and jazz, so I'll be doing all three during the school year.

Now for the next important area of my life. Acting! It's kinda funny, because three years ago, I wouldn't have acted in a play if you gave me a thousand bucks.

I've been in a few plays. What really started my love for drama was my Youth Group's dinner theater. It was a spoof of Dragnet, and it was two police officers (Joe Thursday and Frank Cannon) investigating Jesus before he was crucified. I played Gallo, a wineseller mad at Jesus for stealing her business.

Next, I auditioned for Xanadu Jr. I played an Andrews sister and Hera, queen of the gods.

Then came Pride and Prejudice! I was Sarah, the Bennett's maid.

Another dinner theater! This time, my little brother Joe and I played Joe and Frank. Can you guess who was who?

This summer I did a theatre camp at my town's school where I played Yu Hua, the main character in The Red Stream.

I consider myself somewhat of a triple-threat, because I love to dance, sing, and act.

I have a bunny named Padme that is so fluffy and wonderful and adorable (can you tell I love her?)

I have a firm faith in God and love Him so much!

So I think that's enough about me. Now about the blog.

You'll find things about Faith and fandoms on here.

I will try to do weekly God Sightings every weekend and as many posts about my faith and daily inspirations that I can. And I'll probably do a few 30 day fandom challenges.

All in all, this is a new experience for me, and I'm very excited!
